Catherine Roth, CEO, has worked on the payer and physician sides of the industry since 1983. Previously CEO of MEDePass, Inc., a California Medical Association subsidiary which provides guaranteed digital identities for licensed healthcare professionals; executive director of a Bay Area messenger model organization, and President and Chief Operating Officer of Health Systems Design, a publicly traded software company marketing core administrative systems to health plans, insurance companies, and payer and provider managed care plans across the U.S. and internationally.
Allen Puckett, Finance and Business Development, spent the past 15 years as an entrepreneur and consultant, co-founding two technology-based healthcare companies. Earlier in his career, Allen held various executive positions, including stints as CFO of two public companies. Earlier he spent 12 years as an associate and partner of McKinsey & Company, an international management consulting firm, where he was responsible for clients and assignments on four continents.
Lori Hanninen, Client Services, brings 20 years of experience in healthcare software client services, consulting, finance, and health economics. She led the growth of the client implementation and support department at Health Systems Design.
Kay Rose, Database Administrator and Designer, has over 20 years of experience in technology and application development, including database design and the development and implementation of electronic funds transfer (EFT) and remote point of sale (POS) systems, and the development of interfaces between remote POS systems and central hosts. In 1984, Kay had the good fortune to be involved in the first operational EFT-to-POS system.
Rich Auger, Software Architect, co-founded Health Systems Design with Ms. Roth and served as its Chief Executive Officer from 1988 until 1997 and as its Chairman from 1988 through 2000, when the company was acquired by Perot Systems. Prior to Health Systems Design, Rich co-founded and ultimately sold Worth, Auger & Associates, an early pioneer in the development of comprehensive HMO administrative systems.
Doug Beck, is a practicing dentist who developed a number of Topline's financial and management principles. Doug founded the Wildwood Dental Group in 1981 and subsequently launched a second business, Dental Practice Business & Technology Applications. Doug is a past president of the Snohomish County Dental Society and served on the Board of Trustees of Washington Dental Services for 9 years.
Ed Michael Reggie, serves as Managing Director of Future Factory, a venture capital firm. He serves on the Boards of Directors of various health care and technology firms, as well as Freedom From Hunger and MicroCredit Enterprises, which support microlending in the third world. Mr. Reggie founded and sold American LIFECARE, a managed care organization. Previously he served as the CEO of several health care and financial firms. He holds a faculty appointment at Tulane University in the Department of Health Systems Management. Mr. Reggie received his MBA from Tulane University.
George Von Gehr, was founder and Managing Director of Alliant Partners, a mergers & acquisition firm acquired in 2001 by Silicon Valley Bank. Prior to Alliant, George managed mergers & acquisitions for Volpe, Covington & Welty and worked in a similar capacity at L.F. Rothschild & Co. Previously he served in management of public and private technology companies. He received his BS from Princeton University, MBA from Stanford Business School, and JD from Stanford Law School. He is retired and currently divides his time between Pebble Beach, California, and the San Juan Islands, Washington.
